Remove Acrobat DC from CC app

When I installed Lightroom and Photoshop through CC it installed Acrobat DC but this interfered with my existing Acrobat X so I uninstalled DC. Now I keep getting update notifications to DC and it is still listed as one of my apps even though it is not installed. Is there a way to really remove this from CC? I tried the DC removal tool but that doesn't find it, because it's not installed. It's annoying to keep getting notifications for updates on apps I don't even have.
