Save as not working in acrobat reader dc

For  the first time I know of , when I download a pdf and try to save as , I come up with blank window . So I cannot rename the pdf. even old pdfs which I have renamed before , the same problem exists . I'm on MacBook Pro with MacOs sierra version 10.12.6.

Any help appreciated

- Uncheck the box for "Show online storage when saving files".

-Then click OK at the bottom to save the settings.

-Now try to save the file using "Save as" and check if it works.

Also, make sure that the application is updated to the latest patch released.

Hello!

I just started having this problem today and I tried this solution and it did not work. My workaround was to export to PNG and then "print" save to PDF and then combine the multiple files. It is not efficient!

Did anyone else fail to fix this issue? I am running Acrobat ProDC 2019.021.20056 on MacOS High Sierra (10.13.6) which is not the current OS but like I say, I was able to save-as until today.

@cinerina_com  I suspect you didn't actually save - the first time I tried, I thought I had saved the unchecked preference, and it didn't work.  When I went back into preferences, the box was checked again.  Once I unchecked the box and verified that it stayed UNchecked, the problem was solved.

Hi, after several days of trying several tips shared in this and other sites, I was able to do it by myself. I know how frustrating is when you to try to "save as" and you can't, I am going to give the more simple steps:

1)Launch the application.

2)Go to Acrobat Reader Preferences > Documents

3)Save settings: Uncheck the two options

 

and you got this!!!!!!

bonjour: je suis béotien en informatique, merci de m'aider car j'ai des fichiers du type : Adobe Acrobat Document; j'ai aussi à jour : window10 , PAINT et Acrobat. Or depuis peu de temps en cliquant  sur ces fichiers contenus dans un clé USB çà me répond : "Adobe Acrobat Reader n'a pu ouvrir ce type de fichier car ce type n'est pas pris en charge ou est endommagé, car envoyé en PJ et non décodé correctement". Je clique sur Modifier pour aller sur PAINT où je fais "enregistrer sous..PNG ou JPEG ou PDF" et çà ne déclenche rien. !!! Merci d'avance pour votre aide.

Hi,

I just tried all the suggestions on this thread and I still cannot use Save or Save As. Save As does not respond other than highlighting the File menu item momentarlily when I hit command Shift S. This is a very basic function I should be able to use seemlessly with this advanced PDF software and it does not work. Acrobat is how many years old? No excuse for why this doesn't work out of the box. I just bought my Adobe CC subscription and I'm losing faith quickly.
