Hi all,

I have made a form PDF in Acrobat Pro and it works well. Now my customers can download and fill in this form with reader, but it containt multiple dropdown selections.

What I want is, that after the customer filled in the form and dropdowns, he can save the PDF and the file format will be flattened.

So when they return the form to me, the dropdowns are plain text (and I can't accidentally change the dropdown vallues when opening the file)

I have searched around the internet, but I couldn't find how to do this.

Can anyone tell me a simple method to do this?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Reader can't flatten files. It can do one of two things:

- Set all the fields as read-only (they can easily be changed back to being editable, though)

- Lock all the fields by digitally signing the file.

Rather than having them send the file, I suggest you have then submit it to a web server in FDF format; you will need an experienced web programmer to set that up though.
