Search Bar in Home Blackened Out. Unable to search

I have recently installed adobe acrobat reader DC. In the home page the search bar is showing as black bar and I am unable to search pdfs. I am running on windows 7

What version of Acrobat Reader?

I don't know the versions but I tried with 2 installations
AcroRdrDC1501020056_en_US.exe and AcroRdrDC2000920063_en_US.exe
