Hello,

Reader used to auto select the words in the Search field when calling ctrl+F.

This is not happening anymore... any idea how to reactivate this very useful function?

It would be great if you could help us with a few queries that will help us in investigating the bug:

  • What is the version of Adobe Acrobat Reader that you are using?
  • Could you please share the files which you’re using with the Find tool so that we can try to reproduce the issue at our end?
  • Could you please confirm that this issue is happening with that specific file or with other files also?

Also, make sure the marked preferences are turned on in the Preferences dialog under 'Search' section:

For getting the version of application (Adobe Acrobat Reader DC)

  1. Open the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC application in your machine.
  2. Click on 'Help' menu in application.
  3. Click on 'About Adobe Acrobat Reader DC…'.

Please follow the steps to share the file - Adobe Document Cloud

  1. Open this link
  2. Click on “Select files to Send”
  3. Click link "Choose file from my computer" and Select the file
  4. Click on "Add Files", if you have more files to add
  5. Click on Create link
  6. Share this link with us
  7. You can also share this file to limited persons using "Send personalized invitations"
  8. Enter the email ids of persons you want to share the file and click "Send"

The issue has been fixed in the latest update of Adobe Acrobat and Reader (Version: 2019.012.20036). Please update your applications to the latest version and let us know if you’re facing any issues.

For getting the latest version of the application (Adobe Acrobat or Reader DC)

- Open the Adobe Acrobat or Reader DC application in your machine.
– Click on the ‘Help’ menu in the application.
– Click on ‘Check for Updates…’.
– Update your application to the latest version and verify that the latest version is 2019.012.20036.
