Hello,

the search funcion in acrobat reader does not work: for example, I look for "client" in mi pdf, I see that it is written on the first page, but the search funcion tells me that there are no results. Why?

Thank you,

Sandra

Hi Sandra,

It might be the case that the PDF contains an image (scan) of the document, and not the text.

A quick way to figure out if this is the problem is to try to select the text and copy it into a text editor. If you cannot copy the text, then it is likely an image.  In that case you would need to use "Recognize Text" feature in the paid version of Acrobat to run Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to resolve the problem.

Hope this is helpful,

Carl
