SMART board crashes with Adobe Acrobat DC Reader

My old CD-Rom for my textbook series searches for Acrobat 6, but obviously this is quite old and no longer exists and the only program I can use is Acrobat DC Reader.  I have Windows 10 on a PC and can use the programs for sometimes a sufficient amount of time, on my SMART board, but most of the time it crashes prematurely creating chaos in my classroom.  Here's an example of what happens:
