When I click the AcroRd32.exe shortcut, and when I try to launch AcroRd32.exe from File Explorer "Open with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC", the reader isn't launched.

Hi,

Can you confirm the version of the software and operating system you are using?

I am not sure why you are startingthe software this way.

The installation should have added all you need from your start menu on Windows or Spotlight on Mac.

Have you tried to right-click on a pdf and ask to open in Acrobat? This way you can add the icon to your task bar on Windows.

The process is quite similar on Mac

What way are you asking about? As I said, When I click the AcroRd32.exe shortcut, and when I try to launch AcroRd32.exe from File Explorer. Those are the ways I've tried. If there is another way, please let me know what it is.

Adobe version: 19.021.20058

I am not sure why you are startingthe software this way.

It was a "last resort" after trying everything else.

The problem turned out to have nothing to do with Adobe per se," rather it was a Windows update issue. See answers.microsoft https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/protect/forum/all/adobe-reader-will-not-launch/6e3be39d-75f3-424...
