Unable to open document on ipad

New Here ,

I just downloaded Adobe reader on my iPad today to open a document. Once I did that, the document would not open, I only got a white page. And if I tried to save it to my pages, I was unable to access it, the document was greyed out. Very bizarre. I also tried installing on my iPhone, same issues.

any suggestions?
