Ok, so this a very general question, but someone please tell me what features I can avail in Acrobat Reader DC without a paid licence? Suppose if I click on Redact, it shows:

And if I click on Redact now:

Can any one answer me?? Thanks in advance!!

Yes, all of those are features you pay for. Acrobat Reader exists to make you interested in paying for Adobe things! Look at the list of features I included: the free Reader can

* view and print PDF files

* add comments, notes etc.

* fill in forms

* sell you add ons

None of the things you name are at all simple!

I moved your post over from the poorly named Community Help forum, which is for getting help using this forum system, to a better forum, Acrobat Reader.

I hope this helps. Best of luck to you.

Certainly not redaction, this is very much a Pro feature and needs Acrobat Pro. Essentially Reader can

* view and print PDF files

* add comments, notes etc.

* fill in forms

* sell you add ons

Actually this is just an example. It gives almost the same thing for simple features like edit, compress & export.

Especially edit. PDF files were not made for editing, and it is a very difficult thing. Editing PDF, even if you buy Acrobat Pro, is frustrating and a desperate measure for when there is no alternative. Many things are just impossible.

No where did T_S_N say anything about Editing a PDF with Reader.

So No you can't Edit a PDF with Acrobat Reader.
