I added some text boxes to a PDF someone else had created and then saved the document. When I opened it on my work computer where I have a paid advanced account, no problem.  But when I open it on my home computer where I only have Adobe Reader some of text I added is replaced by boxes with X in them.  Is there a way to get back the text I typed and have it displayed in Adobe Reader?

Hi,

Thanks for reaching out to us.
It seems the issue could be due to it didn't embed the fonts when document was created.

For investigating the issue can you share the sample PDF file?
Please provide the Acrobat version you are using.
You can find the version using the steps mentioned below:
Go to Help -> About Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.

If you are not using the latest version we request you to move to latest version.

Thanks,

Sweta Karn
