Regardless of which version my users have, X, XI, or DC, they still need the Pro version to create pdfs.

The Standard version of Acrobat can create a PDF using the Reducedd Size. Professional has the Optimizer Tool that lets a user specify specific options and methods to use for reducing the size of the PDF and provides an option for analyzing the size of the various objects within the PDF so one can analyze how the various choices affect the size of the PDF.

Both can be accessed through the menu bar and the Optimizer can also be accessed through the tool bar.
