Is there a way to disable this? When I buy a new Dell computer I have the option to add on Acrobat for like $80 (great price). It used to auto activate and install through the Dell software which was fine but now it looks like it actually wants you to create an Adobe ID for each and every user you install for. Its enough of a reason for me just to get a different PDF tool just because its a pain to manage and I can't be worrying that a user is going to accidentally start saving files to Adobe Document Cloud. Thanks for any help.

Hi ,
That has been done from Dell.We do not support software purchased from outside.
If you are purchasing it from Adobe you would have to license it before you use it.
If you have purchased a volume license and has been installed on multiple machines ,you simple need to license it once with the Adobe credentials that would be common for all the machines.
If every one has purchased a separate license for themselves from Adobe, they would have to license it before using it.There is no way to disable it.
You could use trial that is valid for 30 days however it expires you would have to license it to use it successfully.

I get what you are saying, but why is there such a push to make users create an ID on Adobe's website? Volume copies of adobe are expensive so getting a retail copy like this is more cost effective. It should be as simple as installing and typing in a key. Adobe doesn't need to know who the end user is as long as the key is valid that should be enough. I can try and call Dell and get their input on why this changed from having no ID but they are just a reseller right? I mean if I went to Best Buy and bought Acrobat there they aren't going to support me, they are probably going to send me to the manufacturer.

Hi ,
Typing the key is the case with perpetual license.
With subscription ,you have type in the Adobe ID.
It is recommended to use subscription as you get all the features and all the new patches are automatically installed, which is not the case with perpetual license of Acrobat.
We support software purchased from Adobe Reseller.
You must have received perpetual license for Acrobat along with your Dell laptop. It requires a serial number to license the software and nothing more.
This is not the case with Acrobat subscription, you need to have an Adobe ID with which you can license the software.
