Acrobat 2015 Will Not Stay Open

New Here ,

I have installed Acrobat 2015 successfully, but it will not stay open.  When I open it to create or read a PDF, it closes after 10-15 seconds.  Does anyone know why?

Thanks for the suggestion.  I tried it and it doesn't solve the problem.  Acrobat continues to close and reinstalling the software didn't help.

I tried to do so.  The files com.adobe.Acrobat.Pro.plist or com.adobe.Acrobat.Pro_x86_9.0.plist were easy to remove.  There wasn't an Acrobat WebCapture Cookies or an Acrobat folder with preferences for forms (MRUFormsList), collaboration (OfflineDocs), and color settings (AcrobatColor Settings.csf).  Acrobat has never stayed open long enough to be used, so no computer or personal preferences have ever been set.  The software is Acrobat Pro DC, my computer is an iMac 5.7 with El Capitan OS.

It simply closes and I'm taken back to the desktop.

I tried this and Acrobat stilled closed after 10-15 seconds.  I appreciate your efforts to help and patience.  I've been in chat mode with Adobe technical support more times than I can count over the past week and they haven't been able to solve the problem either.  I'll likely just download Acrobat Reader and give up on the Acrobat Pro DC software altogether.
