Hi peymang66362578 ,
Want to mention that Acrobat 8.1 is not compatible with Windows 10.However you can try to run Acrobat in Compatibility mode.
Locate Acrobat shortcut>right click Acrobat shortcut>Properties>Compatibility>check the box Run this program in compatibility mode for and select Windows Vista or Windows Vista Service Pack 1>Apply>OK

Thank you for your reply. The program was working just fine but in the past week or two it freezes if unattended for more than a few minutes. I have tested all possible compatibility modes but no luck. Are you saying because I have upgraded to windows 10 I should throw away this version of Acrobat and pay another $600?

No , I am certainly not saying that. I want to make a note that Versions of Acrobat have specific requirement like Operating System. Acrobat 8 works fine with Windows Vista but when running on Windows 10 can create a compatibility issue, it may or may not work.
