Since we've upgraded Acrobat XI to Acrobat DC we've experienced a lot of crashes with acrobat.exe. The result is users losing their work. Sometimes they have to work overtime to get the document finished in time. This obviously is unacceptable!
Here is what happens. Our Graphical department produces these portfolio files, which contain versions of PDF files. When another person edits (adding comments, text and annotations) to this PDF file in the portfolio and then saves the whole thing. That's the moment when Acrobat DC decides to stop working.
We are running Acrobat DC on Citrix. The OS we use is Windows 2008 R2, all updates installed and on top we run Citrix XenApp 6.5 FR3, rollup pack 6.
This problem is getting really frustrating. A lot of angry users. We are almost at the point of uninstalling Acrobat DC, bin it and Install Acrobat XI again.
Does anybody else experience this or similar issue?
Could it also be, when Acrobat tries to save the PDF file, it needs to connect to some webservice? If so, can someone point me to what address I need to allow in the network?
