Unable to create PDF from a Work or Excel file. Running Windows 10 and Acrobat DC
In Acrobat Distiller receive following error
%%[ Error: undefined; OffendingCommand: ÐÏ à¡± á ]%%
%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%
%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%
In Acrobat DC - unable to convert file and receive error.
I have used the Acrobat cleaner for Acrobat and Read rebooting each time after uninstalling. After reinstalling again received same errors.
I have very frustrated with this this product. Acrobatt 10 is better.

Before today I was told to uninstall, then use Acrobat cleaner and reinstall. I did that rebooting after each step and used cleaner for acrobat and reader.
I cannot get DC to recognize Word or Excel files. I bought this software to combine multiple docx and xlsx files into a large PDF. Have been using Acrobat 9 and 10 for years. Bought a new HP Laptop with windows 10 2 months ago,

Ok, well it's absolutely expected if you try to use Distiller. That's Distiller's way of saying "I don't understand Word documents". But I wouldn't expect it if you use the menus.
What version of Word is installed? Are you able to see and use the Acrobat ribbon in Word?

Yes the Acrobat Ribbon is shown in Word. I have Office 365 and running MS Word 2016

Ok, the easiest thing is to just use the Acrobat ribbon. Acrobat just talks to Word to have it use the ribbon; not sure why that is not working.
I wonder -- the message you quote
%%[ Error: undefined; OffendingCommand: ÐÏ à¡± á ]%%
%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%
%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%
when using Acrobat (not Distiller). Is there an extra line with a filename? If so, please post it complete.
Also, have you tried in the Create dialog using files of type -- Microsoft Word document?

Ok but my goal to combine multiple word docs into a pdf. You are suggesting converting each file one at a time and then combining. That is not what the software is supposed to do. Doing it that way is way too tedious.

Ok, let's stick with the problem a bit longer. Please answer my two questions.

Thank you for the reply to the first part. I hope this was from using File > Create PDF in Acrobat. If so, it is clear that for some reason Distiller is being run to do the conversion, and that is something it cannot do. So, please reply to the second question. "have you tried in the Create dialog using files of type -- Microsoft Word document"? (And please let us know what happened when you did).

Hi
Please share the Acrobat version number you are using. (Help > About Adobe Acrobat Pro DC )
Make sure that your Acrobat is updated to the latest version.
Thanks

I use File > Create > PDF from File.
An Open box appears.
There is a space for typing a file name.
The file type selection is to the right of the file name.
I do not see Microsoft Word documents, because I don't have Office on that computer.
You should see it.
Please choose Microsoft Word documents, and then convert one file.
What happens?
If you cannot follow these steps, exactly what do you see and when?

Acrobat is unable to open the word application. I believe the problem is the Convert2PDF plug in is not installed. I do not know how to install this plugin
