Acrobat freezes when opening large documents

Guest

When I open a large document in Acrobat Pro (approx. 400 pages)  and I try to search by words, most of the time the top bar greys out. Also, when scrolling through the document, most of the time the program freezes on me and I have to shut it down and re-open it.

Is there any solutions for these issues?

Thanks in advance

Hi danielar28988328 ,

Could you please let us know the version of Acrobat Pro installed on your computer?

Is this happening with a single pdf or with other pdfs as well?

Are the pdf's located on the network folder or local on your computer?

Try to perform following steps:

1- Disable Protected View- launch Acrobat Pro>click Security (Enhanced)>select Off under Protected View>OK.

2- Remove temp files from your computer- hold Down Windows key and then press R on your keyboard, type %temp% in the run dialogue box then press enter, select all the contents in the temp folder and delete.

Let us know if the above given steps worked.

Thank You,

Shivam
