Acrobat Pro DC hung during installation

2 days ago after a struggle, I got the Acrobat 2015.DMG file downloaded and started to install.  I somehow found the SERIAL number, typed it, and clicked Continue.  The Installer ran for a bit, then hung for 45 minutes.  When I asked for help, I got a message telling me the system was down and I should come back in 24 hours.

OK, so today I'm trying again.  But my new problem is I can no longer find the SERIAL number.  It's not in any of the emails I have from Adobe or from PayPal about my successful purchase,  Once again, I cannot install Acrobat Pro.  I don't know what to do!  Adobe has no right to charge PayPal if I have not been able to install the product, but I don't think they care.

I'm on a Mac mini, OSX 10.9.5.
