Acrobat Pro DC on El Capitan, the software hangs itself shortly after each start

After successful installation and activation of Acrobat Pro DC on a MacBook Air with El Capitan, the software hangs itself shortly after each start (direct start from Dock or indirect via a pdf file). Can only by stopped with Activity Monitor and "Force Quit". Any ideas?
