Acrobat Pro DC - Tools "this feature not included"

Hope one of you has the magic to solve this...

Just installed Acrobat Pro DC for Mac with valid SN (non-subscription). The entire Tools menu is unavailable for use with an error message "This feature is not included in your current Acrobat license". There doesn't seem to be any useful information to troubleshoot this.

Specs:

- Mac OS X Yosemite

- Acrobat Pro DC, 2015 Release (classic), 15.0006.30119

- Pro DC is set as the default to open PDF files

- Acrobat Reader XI also installed

I've removed all older installations of CC apps and rebooted (I was once a subscriber a few months back).

I uninstalled the initial installation, rebooted, and re-installed from DMG.

I've gone through all the preferences to see if there's some setting missing.

I've found a couple other threads with similar issues, but no helpful resolution.

Any ideas out there???
