Acrobat Pro v11 - Issues with redaction

We upgraded to Adobe Acrobat Pro v11 at the end of November 2015, and it is now our corporate standard.  A customer reached out identifying an issue with the redaction functionality ever since we upgraded.


When applying the redaction, the application shuts down every time and doesn’t hold the document reaction that was completed.  When they tried our internal Help Desk, they were told this was a known issue and the only way to get around it was to go to version 10.


Is this truly a known issue?  Is there any other workaround that doesn't involve reverting to Acrobat Pro v10, or upgrading to Acrobat DC 2015?
