Acrobat X for Mac crashes directly after launch

New Here ,

Hello,

I have installed Acrobat X Pro on a 2014 Macbook Pro. Latest version OSX El Capitan 10.11.3. The version of Acrobat X Pro is 10.1.13.

When I launch Acrobat X Pro it immediately crashes - after about 3 seconds. This problem occurs when I try to open a file but also if I only start the application without doing anything else.

What have I done already to try to solve the problem:

  • I have uninstalled Acrobat and have reinstalled it - same problem
  • I have updated Application Manager - same problem

I need support because I am stuck. Thanks for any assistance!

Regards,

Uwe

Have this same issue.  On with the chat desknow and they are telling me I can't get support.  yesteday, the chat tech threw away all my files.  told me to redownload CS6 and install.  Acrobat10 still doesn't work.  Now he is telline me 'sorry, I can't get support' . Basically what the tech started yesterday, they can't fix today.

Hi Uwe,

Just for testing purpose, can you please try the steps mentioned below and let me know if it worked for you:

Delete all the files from following folders:

[Home]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/SLStore

[Home]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/SLCache

And, delete all files from following folder except cache.db

[Home]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AdobePCD

Then launch Acrobat and try to activate and check.

If possible please provide your console log. Follow steps mentioned below to get the console log:

a. Launch Console(/Application/Utilities/Console)

b. Clear all messages(using Clear display option)

c. Launch Acrobat and wait for it to close

c. Once Acrobat closes, save the console log(File-Save a Copy as). Please paste the log here.

Regards,

Rave
