Acrobat XI AIP Install

New Here ,
Feb 20, 2016 Feb 20, 2016

Hello

Is there a way to update a user's Adobe Acrobat Pro XI that I originally installed from our AIP without uninstalling Acrobat Pro and then reinstalling an updated AIP version?  The AIP I started with contained a 11.0.12 Acrobat Pro installation.  I successfully installed it on the user's PC and all was good until its time to update the installation on that PC.   Both AcrobatUpd11013.msp and AcrobatUpd11014.msp fail with "The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service because the program the be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program. ..."  Again... do I really have to upgrade my AIP to 11.0.14 and then uninstall Acrobat Pro XI from the user's PC and then install the new full AIP updated version to the user PC?  I would like to be able to just push the .msp from SCCM to update the client machines.  The SCCM / .msp process works perfectly on Acrobat installations that where not converted to an AIP and slip streamed with updates.  If I do have to uninstall Acrobat on every update will I loose any settings or customization the users have added in their profiles in Acrobat Pro?

Thanks

Thanks.  I have looked at that information prior to this post.  I do not believe it addresses my issue.  Because of the behavior above I have decided to stop using AIP with Adobe products.  I customized and installed the base Acrobat Pro XI 11.00 and within that same script also applied the most recent Adobe msp.  It appears I can update my installed Acrobat clients normally if I install Acrobat this way.
