ACTIVATE ACROBAT 8 STANDARD WITHOUT INTERNET CONNECTION

Guest

I am trying to activate my copy of Acrobat 8 Standard on a new PC (running W7 64) following the failure of my old machine.

I have the disc and serial number, I have an Adobe ID and a university education to boot  but I cannot see a  way of activating my software as the phone activation is discontinued and despite answers by respondants to previous questions directing them to Adobe's offline activation pages I have found these don't work for Acrobate 8 as the screen shots are from a different version altogether.

Can anyone provide a definitive answer?

I don't think you need to activate these old applications anymore. See: Download Acrobat 8 and Acrobat 9

However, this version of Acrobat is quite old and not compatible with any current operating system, so problems are to be expected.
