Add image of a PDF

Hi,

I have a selection of single page PDFs that represent different styles of output from my software, on a variety of paper sizes.   I'm looking to create a showcase document (in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC) that has a shrunk down copy of each of the PDFs, so they all fit on one A4 page.  I can add images, but I want to add PDFs.

Any suggestions?

This can be easily accomplished in Acrobat Pro by going to the Layers tool in the left hand pane. Use the Import as Layer tool to place an existing PDF file in a new layer. This tool actually allows placement of PDF and other formats within an existing PDF file as a new layer. Options exist for scaling, location, rotation, opacity, and position (on top or underneath existing content). You can then use the Flatten Layers or Merge Layers tool(s) to eliminate the extra layer(s).

You can insert a PDF as an image by using a button field. Set the button field to have an icon and then you'll be able to select any page from your PDF file as the icon, and it will be displayed on the page (of course, it won't be interactive and you won't be able to select any of the text in it or anything like that, it will be just like an image on the page).

Thanks guys for your support and excellent suggestions.

I liked Dov Isaacs's suggestion because it was quick and kept the original PDF in its original form.

My follow-on question is: how can I add a drop shadow effect to the layer, or even a border so that it stands out?

Alas, additional special effects are not available with this feature.
