Adobe 11.0,15 stopped scanning. I tried to fix it as suggested on some forum by moving files. That did not work. Them tried to repair and it would not said something was already started. Tries to deactivate and it would not.

Please Follow this thread to reset the preferences for the Acrobat software :- How to reset Preference settings in Acrobat.
Would request you to please check after connecting the scanner locally to the system if it is connected over a network.

Also if issue persist, then please check with different user account with the admin rights ,
