adobe 11 is not saving my default font setting

As above, adobe 11 is not saving my default font setting.  Suggestions?

So what exactly are you doing? How are you setting a specific font as default?

Also, is the file being filled in Adobe Acrobat XI, or are you using another application to do that?

Using Adobe Acrobat XI. Using the add text field tool to make the pdf form fillable by user. Once text field box is on the form, going to properties, under appearance setting font to Arial Narrow, closing box, right click on box selecting ‘Use Current Properties as New Defaults’, click save. Continuing to remaining text boxes to form, additional boxes do not hold the font change.
