Have just changed to a new workstation running Windows 7 (64 bit) whereas old workstation was running windows 7 (32 bit).
Had a purchased copy of Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Standard and after a lot of struggle Adobe online support pointed me to the CS2 download site and I downloaded the file and have opened and installed. However it isn't working properly issues as follows:
I noticed during install it stated unable to create a printer PDF (I do have both Word 2016 and Word 2003 on the PC) - but now see main point below where this error message is given in detail....
Have tried to use 'create PDF' to make a word 2003 document into a PDF. Doesn't work as a pop up window states:
'Unable to find "Adobe PDF" resource files.
Do you want to run the installer in repair mode?
I have tried selecting yes to this - in which case runs through stating that Windows is configuring Adobe Acrobat 7.0 and that it is 'getting the required information' Then get the same error message about Printer, which in full is as follows:
Warning 20225. Adobe Acrobat 7.0 setup was unable
to create a new item: Adobe PDF Port & printer. The
Adobe PDF Printer may be unavailable.
Get LastError: The operation completed successfully.
If then click [ok] - the only option....then restart and reopen Adobe Acrobat Standard 7.0 get the same error (Unable to find "Adobe PDF" resource files)
Have also tried right clicking on the program and selecting 'troubleshoot compatabiity'. This states it has applied
Windows compatibility mode: Windows XP (Service Pack 2)
But get the same errors when try this.
As the program worked on old workstation that was running Windows 7.0 cannto work out why it will not run now.
Help please !

You might be able to patch up certain problems but you cannot make it work properly on this unsupported system. The Adobe PDF printer driver in Acrobat 7 is only for 32-bit systems. This is also needed by the Office PDFMaker functions, which therefore cannot work.

Hi Nick Holmstock,
Please try "Repair Installation" under Help menu.
Also refer this KB doc: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/warning-20225-pdf-printer-missing.html
Check if this helps.
