Adobe Acrobat DC is not working

New Here ,
Feb 22, 2016 Feb 22, 2016

Hello, I reached out Adobe support via chat and spent a hour with the rep working on my system - Adobe Acrobat DC stopped working (3 days ago I updated the version to 3.5.1.209). The rep deleted all old versions of CS6 from my system then sent me the link to download Adobe Acrobat DC again (I uninstalled and then tried to reinstall but wasn't able to and kept getting an update link but then error to "remove older versions".

Once I installed Adobe Acrobat DC everything worked fine until now, back to the same issue and I restarted multiple times.

Please help!!

Hi paolag80143557,

Please provide the exact dot version of the software & OS installed at your system .Also check whether is there any update available for the software after going through "help > check for updates "

Follow this thread to reset the preferences for the Acrobat Software :- How to reset Preference settings in Acrobat.

If you have Windows, open Acrobat, navigate to Help menu & repair the installation.

If issue persist then Please try running the cleaner tool "Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs" on your machine to remove all traces of Acrobat.

Then, restart your machine and install the latest version of Acrobat.

If issue still persist, then create a new user account with the Admin rights on your system & then reinstall the application and check for the same.

(If you have Win OS :- Adobe troubleshooting: Using or creating an admin account in Windows 7, 8, Vista)

Regards,

Yatharth
