I already had this problem with Adobe Acrobat Pro and was hoping that upgrading to Adobe Acrobat DC would fix the problem but it still exists:
When I try to print certain PDFs with mathematical formulas from my university with Acrobat it happens very often that symbols such as "+", "-" and "=" aren't printed. They show up fine in the PDF but they simply aren't visible on the paper after printing them. I thought that this might be because I was missing a font (I think it's SymbolMT) or the printer driver wasn't working properly but since I can print the same PDF perfectly with Google Chrome or the Mac Preview app I think this is an issue tied to Adobe.
I have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat installed and I'm using an iMac with OS X El Capitan.
I know that I can select "Print as an image" in Acrobat but then it takes way longer and the quality is worse, so that's not an option for me.
Any tips?
Here is the PDF with the formula that causes the problem:
That's how it's supposed to look like:

Would request you to please check with new user account with the Admin Rights & check whether you face same issue over there as well.

Thanks for the reply. I've tried it with a different account and I'm having the same issue. The only troubleshooting tip that worked was the "Print as image" option but then the printing takes way longer and the quality is worse, so that's not a solution for me.
Preflights analyze & fix or copying/re-downloading PDF didn't help at all.
