Adobe Acrobat Pro 9

New Here ,
Mar 14, 2016 Mar 14, 2016

AAP9 which I have run for years now will load but suddenly will not create PDFs or do anything. If I try to open PDFS, programs open DC Reader. I uninstalled and it won't allow me to reinstall through Adobe. The program will not repair itself. Seems like a scheme to buy DC. Anyone help?

Hi cryswainwright ,

Please try running the cleaner tool "Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs" on your machine to remove all traces of Acrobat .

Then, restart your machine and install the latest version of Acrobat Pro from here: Download Adobe Acrobat products | 9, 8

After installing Acrobat Pro, you may set this program as default for PDF Files.

Right click on any pdf file, then go to properties > General > In 'opens with' option you will see 'Change' option available .

After clicking that you may set this Acrobat Pro as Default program for PDF files.

Let  me know if it works.

Regards,

Yatharth
