Adobe Acrobat Pro DC(15.006.30121) installed on a Windows 7 Platform. Each user has a set of mapped drives that correspond to their Projects.
Once the new Sticky notes added to pdf and try to save the pdf document from mapped drives .It shows following error
"The document could not be saved .The file may be read-only ,or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder "
Is there any reason Acrobat would be doing this ?Can anyone tell me what this is about? I've searched online but haven't found anything useful
I tried below . This doesnt work for me either.
To disable Protected Mode:
Start Adobe Reader
Edit - Preferences - Security (Enhanced)
Uncheck Enable Protected Mode at Startup
Close Preferences & Close Reader

Hi jasimtp ,
Please provide the exact dot version of the software & OS installed at your system .Also check whether is there any update available for the software after going through "help > check for updates "
Follow this thread to reset the preferences for the Acrobat software :- How to reset Preference settings in Acrobat.
Then open Acrobat, navigate to Help menu & repair the installation.
Please try to save the file to the local drive then & check for the same .
Also make sure the document should not remain open in other application as well
Would like to know is this happening with all the document or with this certain one.
Please check after recreating the document as well

Yatharth

Thanks for the reply Yatharth
Exact dot version is Adobe Acrobat Pro DC Version 2015.006.30121 (Latest updated version).
I tried to edit the PDF from following OS
Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit SP1, Windows 7 Professional 64bit SP1, Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit
I had already updated the version with latest.
I restored the Acrobat Preferences folder .still same ( How to reset Preference settings in Acrobat.)
I already tried from Local drive C its okay from there .saving and editing the Edited PDF files. But no luck from all Network mapped drives.
The document should not remain open in other application. This happening with all pdf documents in mapped network drives.
I tried to edit the pdf from network drives in all users computers , same error occurred
Kind Regards

Hello Jasim,
Let us know File protocol you are using for (Network shared drives)?
Also, try adding mapped drive to the exceptions list in Acrobat preference.
Launch Acrobat, Click on Edit menu > Preferences > Security (enhanced). Click on "Add Folder Path" and browse for the path.
Once done close the Acrobat and try reproducing the behavior.
Regards,
Tariq Dar.
