Adobe Acrobat ProX error "Acrobat is not activated"

Submitting a document to print using InDesign CS 6 had worked fine when directing it to print to PDF.

3/16 Adobe DC Reader automatic update installed and now when I try to print a pdf, it will not allow me to open Adobe Acrobat ProX and

I obtain the following error message.

Full error message:

Adobe PDF creation cannot continue because Acrobat is not activated.

Click Retry after activating Acrobat to continue printing.

Click Cancel to quit creation.
