Adobe Acrobat X Pro isntallation on Sierra 10.12

Guest

Hi,

When I try to install Acrobat X Pro on Sierra 10.12, it starts installing but hangs around 75% saying 1 minute remains, but it doesn't go further.

Is the version X compatible with 10.12 and if yes, how could I troubleshoot this problem?

Thank you for your support,

Giorgio Schmidt / Switzerland

Hi,

I finally found the problem and the solution.

After googling it, it was suggested that maybe the sudoers file was broken.

That was the case as the /etc/sudoers owner was UID 1 and not 0 as it should be.

I logged in as root (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1528) and then fixed the sudoers file by editing it with the cmd: visudo/etc/sudoers, then press "SHIFT+:" to open vi prompt, and enter "wq" to save and quit.

Acrobat Pro X then installed successfully!

Have a good day!

check other users experiences, http://roaringapps.com/apps:table

then, if you decide to proceed, enable unidentified developers:

http://mac-how-to.wonderhowto.com/how-to/open-third-party-apps-from-unidentified-developers-mac-os-x...

and finally you can search for installation log files.  google their location.
