I get the message that this file is "not designed to run on windows or contains an error."
The message suggested I reinstall Acrobat Pro XI. I did and I still get this message. I've updated the program and I still get this message. It started yesterday. Up until then I'd been using the program for 2 years with no problems.

I tried this. It didn't work. In addition, during the install I tried to make Acrobat the default pdf reader but got a Windows error message that switched the default pdf to Edge.

As this message seems to be from Windows 10, and as otherwise Acrobat works perfectly, I've decided to ignore it. I just click "okay" when the message pops up.
