Anybody for how to embed YouTube-video?

It seems that I can only add video tot my pdf by uploading the video file, which makes the pdf way too big to send by e-mail.

Who would pay for this DC Pro while there is no single way to simply embed a video file?

Or is there?

You can embed a link to a video file on a media server. Youtube is NOT a media server, it's a full service video web site, not for embedding in other apps.

By the way, PDF files (and other files) are often far too big to email. People typically use something like wetransfer.com to send them. Or put them on their own web site. But in any case embedded media will only play in Adobe software - you are likely to hit all sorts of problems. In my view, PDF is not suitable for embedded videos for most people today, because people like Google have ruined it.

Thanks. I put a video into my pdf, document got big, but video played on my desktop. Checked it on iPhone and android tablet, both did not work. MS Word and other products can stream video from YouTube. Video is the nr 1 communication medium these days, Adobe tells us to sell Premiere products. And meanwhile they're not capable of presenting a YouTube embedding technique into pdf, I really don't understand.

1. It's important to understand that Youtube is not a media host.

2. Mobile and most other non-Adobe PDF viewers cannot play videos. Adobe cannot fix this, because it is not their software (except for the mobile Acrobat Reader, which they should fix but cannot because they chose Flash).

Give up on PDF for this. Use web pages.

Hi.

A YouTube widget for embedding videos into PDFs was available a few years ago.

But since YouTube has locked this feature this widget became useless : YouTube Widget for Acrobat Updated... Finally!
