Oh well, I would simply like better integration of the InDesign Buttons & Forms option with Acrobat / Reader DC and beyond.
I am trying to save time by designing the form fields and interactive dropdowns etc. available in the 'Buttons & Forms' palette in Adobe InDesign so that I don't need to to customise as much when I expor to Acrobat. It seems as if this was its original intention as a feature, but was then abandoned as a priority to complete as there are various 'half-baked' options and inconsistencies. Even the term 'combo box' is referred to as 'dropdown list' in Acrobat despite referring to the same feature. You can even customise the rollover states of a radio button etc. in InDesign before exporting to Acrobat, however these then have peculiar glitches after altering other features and then re-saving the PDF they were exported into. Not to mention that they cannot be created in Acrobat at all. Can we finish fine-tuning the feature co-ordination between these programs...ahem, apps?
