can anyone tell me how to get the find fuction to work when using PDF. I know how to use it but it will not work in one of my PDF's  thanks in advance

Use the menu Edit > Find

If a PDF's content is only the image of text (i.e., scanner output) then there is nothing for "find" to work with.

Using Acrobat's OCR feature the OCR output provides something for "find" to run with.
