I'm running Adobe Acrobat Pro 8.0.0 and would like to upgrade to 8.3.1. When I do a "Check for Updates", it says no updates are found. So I'll have to download all the updates and install them manually. I've read that there are 13 different updates to install, since they are not cumulative, and that you have to reboot after each update.
Do you really need to reboot between each patch? Installing 13 updates would be a pain, and needing to reboot between each one would be even more of a pain. Could I just install all 13 patches (from the oldest to the most recent), and then reboot just once at the end? Or does Windows put a lock on the patched files, so that if I tried to install a subsequent patch without rebooting, it would end up failing?

Apparently, you can just reboot at the end. You do need to install each patch in turn (in modern versions of Acrobat you don't).
