Can't reinstall Acrobat X Pro (CS6) after deleting it

Community Beginner ,

Really confused why I can't reinstall Acrobat X Pro (CS6) after deleting it. While trying to reinstall from both the original CS6 disc or from the Adobe website installer download I get the same prompt to close SafariCloudHistory from Activity Monitor, as shown. But that isn't really the problem. I quit the process before trying to install and the same thing happened – the installer just quickly says the installation is complete after like literally 3-5 seconds and nothing has happened.

I thought it might be the disc because the external optical drive I use doesn't always work right, but the downloader from the Adobe site did the same thing.

It was actually a stupid mistake to delete Acrobat – I didn't expect it would be so difficult to reinstall. I use it regularly and need it for work, so any help would be much appreciated.

even though your error message may not seem related to the issue discussed in this link, try it:

That doesn't seem to be the solution – I rarely ever open Safari, so I don't know why that prompt is appearing. Im so confused. I tried the Cleaner Tool – no traces of Acrobat absolutely anywhere as far as I can find, but obviously it's somewhere because I'm still getting this:

CC Desktop was removed. But the same problem and the same things after the installation fails:

Exit Code: 6

Please see specific errors below for troubleshooting. For example,  ERROR: DW003 ...

I don't want to post so much but maybe this will help clarify somehow. I'm about to just do what was suggested elsewhere and re-install El Capitan and then Acrobat X, etc.
