Invalid Serial Number. I could send you a screen capture from the Adobe website on my registration

your installation file must match your serial number: Error: "The serial number is not valid for this product" | Adobe Creative Suite

I cut and pasted the serial number from my registered product on the Adobe website. Thanks, but I need more help than this.

read the link. the most common problem is using an incorrect installation file.
there are many ways that can occur. the serial number might be for an enterprise version or for a mac, not windows etc. check the link in message 3.

I entered the serial number without hyphens, but still rejected. I registered this product with Adobe in 2010 on the Adobe website, so the serial number is legitimate.
I am using the proper installation file. The platform is Windows.
Please advise
Thanks/Mike Costa

i can't help you any further because i can't check that you're doing the things you say you're doing.
sometimes adobe support can help a little, but they usually do not because older adobe versions are not supported.
if you want to try, using a browser that allows popups and cookies, contact adobe support during pst business hours by clicking here and, when available, click 'still need help', https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html

i'm not an adobe employee and you really have to be careful about who you trust with private information.
i have been trusted for some things by adobe (https://forums.adobe.com/people/?sortKey=all~statusLevelDesc&sortOrder=0 ) but you're still taking a chance sending info to someone you only know via a public forum.
that said, if you still are willing to take the risk, send me a private message. do NOT publish any private info on this public forum.
