Cannot combine excel files into a PDF

When using File >> Create >> Combine Files Into PDF, I get "Your file could not be printed due to an error on Adobe PDF on e03:." and Acrobat freezes.

File >> Create >> PDF From File and selecting an Excel file also causes a hang.

Windows 7 x64, Office 2016, Acrobat XI.

I have tried repairing and reinstalling both Acrobat and Office. This error occurs with all Excel files from all sources.

Not that I don't believe you, but is this documented anywhere? This exact same setup is working just fine on 30+ other computers, it seems strange that it would suddenly break on just one.

Yes, it's documented here: Compatible web browsers and PDFMaker applications, Adobe Acrobat

Not compatible doesn't mean it won't work. It means it hasn't been officially tested and approved, and therefore all kinds of strange problems can happen, like the one you're describing.

I've downgraded to Office 2010 x64, which is marked as supported, and the problem persists.
