Hello. Using Acrobat XI on Windows 7 64-bit.
I created an accessible form with three signature levels and saved it using Save As Other > Reader Extended PDF > Enable More Common Tools. I successfully set the Sign options for the Digital Signature fields so that the first signature locks (Mark As Read-Only) everything but the two next-level-up name and signature fields, the second locks only its name field and itself, and the third locks its name field and itself so the form is then entirely read-only. I tested this in Acrobat Reader using three digital signatures that I created.
Then I added a Reset Button. When I fill out the form and add the first signature in Reader, the Reset button becomes inaccessible to NVDA as one would expect; I hear "button not accessible," and hitting Enter when focused on the button does nothing. However, if I click the Reset Button with the mouse, it clears all the form fields including the prior signature, without un-locking them. That is, the fields are blank -- and in NVDA, there is no "hidden" data left to be read in them, so they are truly blank -- but the form cannot be started anew. Only the next two signature fields can be accessed.
Operationally, this would have its pros and cons, but is it the expected result? Or could this be a unique-to-me situation because all three test signatures were created on my machine?
Thanks, Chris
