I have a self-made PDF that has 8 checkboxes that represent 8 other pdf forms. What I want to happen is when I click specific checkboxes and hit submit it combines and open the files I clicked the checkbox for. After combination I will run a Javascript that completes all the forms. How can I have adobe perform this function?

In that case it should be possible, but it will require a custom-made script to be developed.

I've actually just developed a very similar solution for another customer so if you're interested in hiring someone to do it for you feel free to contact me (try6767 at gmail.com) and we could discuss it further.

Where is this file going to be used? In what application, and under what environment?

Will the files to merge have a pre-known, fixed location?

Can you install a script on the local machine of each user who is going to use this file?

I will try to answer these questions not really my field . It’s going to be used in Adobe DC pro and the files will have a fixed location. If you are talking about a regular script within adobe then yes I can have it installed on each machine.
