combined pdf files are faulty

Sometimes when I combine several pdf files into a single pdf the resultant file is faulty and cannot be opened.

When i do a google search on this topic there are lots of hits but no cures that i have seen.

I am using Acrobat V11 on windows 10/64.

Just a natter here -- but placing one's email address openly in a public forum can invite a lot of spam. Most email today has good filtering but get the stuff is annoying eh.
