Adobe reader DC has gone crazy. In addition to the issues with no print dialog box appearing (as per other threads), the commenting function is now completely sporadic:
Text highlights will appear and then disappear as soon as I change the zoom level, and they do not come back. Some times I highlight text and it doesn't appear; only a blue line appears around the text when I select the highlight (yes I've checked settings of highlighting and things like recognizable text). The fact that highlighting appears and disappears proves this is a bug.
Likewise, comment boxes no longer appear. The only way to see comments is in the pane on the right. No bubbles appear at all.
Navigation is also affected: Adobe reader doesn't seem to know what page I'm on. The preview page on the left has selected one that is completely different to the one I am reading (and where my cursor is located). When I use a 'return to last viewed page' shortcut, Adobe goes to page 1, which was certainly not the last viewed.
So many issues with the latest release - please update asap; this is infuriating and disruptive to workflow.
Thank you!

Exactly the same is happening to me. I was on a call with Adobe tech support 2 days ago and we isolated it down to the trackpad zoom causing the problem. All comments remain visible until you try to zoom in with the trackpad. Temporary solution: Try using ONLY the toolbar tools, not the trackpad, to zoom. It works for me that way, but it's so unintuitive and slow that I've decided to revert back to and old version of Adobe Reader XI. You can download old versions here: Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions

We have released an update on May19 that resolves the print dialog box issue on Mac.
Please make sure that your application is updated to the latest patch released.
Refer this KB doc for information on latest updates: Release Notes | Adobe Acrobat, Reader
Disappearing of comments in main window on Mac when it can be seen on comment tool pane is a known issue and our team is working on that.
Let us know if you still experience any issue.

Meenakshi
