This was posted in another thread and did not get a response, I am hoping someone has a solution.
The Acrobat DC commenting "Text Properties" quick tool does not open the dropdown properties bubble when I click the icon...nothing happens at all. I can open comment tools and access the dropdown menu through that interface, but not with the quick tool (see image below).
We deal mostly with large drawings and need every bit of available screen space. Working with the commenting menu open is not an option for over 90% of our projects as it reduces the screen area available to view the document.
I have tried everything and am experiencing the same situation on two different machines running Windows 10 and Acrobat DC.
Am I missing something?

The latest update seems to have resolved this issue, the old style properties pop up box is back on both of my machines.
I'm still not sure what was going on with the situation outlined above, as of today I still could not get the quicktool to work. I removed the tool from the menu and the pop up box stays, there is no relation between the quicktool and the now functioning properties box.
