Digital signatures take too long to save

New Here ,
Feb 27, 2016 Feb 27, 2016

I'm working with 100 page document  in Adobe Acrobat 9 and 10/100 pages need signatures. The document saves after every time I add a digital signature and it takes 2-3min to save after each one; meaning it takes 20-30 minutes to add digital signatures. Most of the time is taken by the action "Verifying all signatures". Is it possible to add digital signatures to multiple pages at once (most of them are placed on the same spot on the pages). Also, what else could be the reason for taking so long to save the document after signing?

Thanks,

Yuriy

Hi yuriyp81628935,

Would like to Inform you that you may set the Action for placing signatures. But there is no way in Acrobat to place the signatures automatically on the documents.

Please refer to this Link for setting actions :- Adobe Acrobat DC Action Wizard

As its taking time in working for that please check whether is there any update available for the software after going through "help > check for updates "

Follow this thread to reset the preferences for the Acrobat software :- How to reset Preference settings in Acrobat.

If you are on Windows OS, open Acrobat, navigate to Help menu & repair the installation.

Regards,

Yatharth

Forget the previous answer, It is wrong.

A digital signature in PDF always applies to the complete document. The page on which the digital appears is completely irrelevant. There is no sense whatsoever to add signatures to more than one page unless different signers sign the same PDF. Only when different people sign the same PDF or some [allowed] changes (like filling additional form fields) are made to a PDF, you need multiple signatures in the same PDF.

If you need to initialize some pages, you need to use stamp annotations for that and then digitally sign the final copy at the end of your workflow.

We need 2 different people to sign the same pdf in addition to multiple signature fields on different pages (but in 1 pdf document).

Would it still be possible to use stamp annotations and signing final copy with 2 different people?
