The question has been asked but I'm not sure it's been answered sufficiently, I have created word documents that include tables with grid lines, I am able to save it as PDF and it's okay but when I prepare the form to add tick boxes, some or even ALL of the lines in the table disappear???? How do I stop this from happening. I do not want to create Adobe tables as I've already done all the work!

Zoom into the document, and see if the lines reappear.

What you encounter is a rendering effect, where elements which are too small (too narrow) are not displayed.

It is likely that you took the default width in Word, which translates to "hairline", which is a line, one pixel wide at screen resolution at 100%. This also means that the lines will disappear when you print the document. Always select a fixed width for your lines; preferrably 0.5 pt thick or more.

Hope this can help.

Thank you for the suggestion, I appreciate the advice but I have tried zooming in but t it doesn't make any difference, I don't think it's the 'hairline' factor as it also doesn't explain why some lines are present while others aren't when I have used the exact same table format and line size on every table. This is what I find confusing. Any other suggestions?
